Dr. Lisa Ellison
Bio:
As a lifelong lover of learning in general who is fond of challenges, I will be a positive and encouraging tutor with a broad background and great determination. I favor getting to know the student a bit to see what their strengths are and the way they learn, as well as developing strategies to overcome difficulties in needed area.
I believe education/teaching/tutoring should inform AND entertain. I can help you understand, review, prepare, compose, proofread, strategize, plan, practice, focus, catch up, and stay caught up with your materials or requirements. I can help you think of new ideas or refine existing ones and help develop them.
Advanced degrees in Education, Business, Counseling, and Psychology will help to inform our sessions. Work experience at all skill and interpersonal levels in diverse situations will benefit students from 8th grade through graduate school from basic skills or challenges to advanced or ESL students.
As an artist, I can help you with art coursework or teach you some art skills of your own. My first ever painting exhibition called Baby Mommas was at the Mon Arts Center from June 5th through July 3rd of this year. I hope that you got to see it, and I plan to participate in more shows and sales in the near future. I can help even a "not creative" type of person with some art tricks. When I am not doing art, I enjoy time with family, friends, and in my flower gardens. I could teach you about flowers too!
